Write for us

Bright Pages welcomes thoughtful pitches about books, reading choices, and the practical details of making reading fit a full day. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What we welcome

We are interested in original essays and service pieces that answer a clear reader question. A strong idea might examine a reading habit, compare book formats for a particular situation, or offer a fresh way to start a conversation about books. Keep the subject distinct from existing coverage and useful beyond a passing trend.

What to include

Describe the central idea, the reader it serves, and what your proposed piece would help that reader understand or do. Include a brief outline and any relevant experience or published samples you choose to share. Do not send a finished article unless it has been requested.

How to send a pitch

Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Please send one focused proposal at a time. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication, and any commissioned terms are discussed before work begins.
