Editorial policy

Bright Pages aims to make useful, fair-minded reading about books and reading culture. We value clarity, careful wording, and a visible distinction between editorial decisions and commercial relationships.

Accuracy and sources

We check names, titles, and factual details against suitable sources before publication and take care not to present opinion as fact. When a subject depends on individual preference, we say so. We do not claim research or firsthand testing that has not taken place.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. Any paid, gifted, or partner-supported material is clearly labelled where it appears. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial material is kept distinct from independent editorial work.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update published material when a change is warranted, making substantive corrections clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, that use is identified so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary imagery.
